A biologist as well as a patent attorney, Anne M. Schneiderman, J.D., Ph.D. has the legal, scientific and industry expertise to successfully represent high technology clients, particularly in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and agriscience. As a member of the Patent Bar, she is registered to practice patent law throughout the United States.
A graduate of Stanford University with degrees in biological sciences (B.S. with distinction) and law (J.D.), she also holds a Ph.D. in neurobiology from Harvard University and has over twenty years of experience as a research scientist prior to practicing law. Her training in both science and law allows her to work closely with scientists, inventors and management teams in developing ideas into patentable inventions.
From her six-year association with Pennie & Edmonds LLP, a leading U.S. intellectual property law firm (now dissolved), she has an established track record in patent procurement, prosecution and counseling clients in a wide range of technical areas.
As a former in-house counsel and director of intellectual property at a high technology start-up company, Dr. Schneiderman appreciates the unique needs and circumstances of new, growing companies and entrepreneurial ventures. She is dedicated to obtaining the strongest patent protection for her clients and to providing experienced, responsive service.
Prior to practicing law, Dr. Schneiderman was a developmental neurobiologist with academic appointments at Cornell University and Yale University.
